NHR Music Production

Creating, writing, playing and producing music has always been my passion No. 1. But among these, studio time with my band have been the highlight. While at our first two album recordings I carefully watched what the studio guy or our producer was doing at the mixing desk and at the computer, from our third album on I actively took part in the mixing and mastering process. In 2002 I acquired an audio engineer diploma at the Magyar Rádió Rt. I was already deeply involved in live mixing in our punk rock, hardcore and metal community at that time. In 2005, after I moved from Budapest to Augsburg, I began to produce my first solo album with a run-down computer, a single microphone, and a few new musician friends. This was a great experience that resulted not only in a well listenable record (“Attila Tapolczai – We Are the Ones”) but new ambitions that made me improve my skills with each new album and invest any free cents into my home studio.

In 2011-2012 I spent a year in Galway, Ireland, where I recorded a double album called “New Home”. This was the time when I began producing for other artists so I thought I should give my service a name. That’s how “New Home Recording” was born which later turned into “NHR Music Production”. Since 2013 I’ve been living in Augsburg again where I went on building up my small creative business as a freelancer, producing albums for my own projects, helping other artists in the realization of their own productions, and mixing live shows with my own PA equipment, as well as working for other companies.
